They backfilled the area around the basement walls on Tuesday.
Today, Thursday, they pour the concrete for the floor and the stairs.
I am amazed at how much work it took to finish the basement floor, it was non-stop back breaking work.
They started with 8 men, bringing the concrete from the truck since there is no easy access from my front yard. Once they finish pouring and leveling all the concrete, one man stayed behind to finish it all, the stairs and the floor.
At 5pm three other men came to help him and he, the lone worker, was not happy to have been left alone. He told them that the concrete was drying fast and the stairs take too long to finish.
They worked until almost 8pm.
